Foodscanning: Nut Roll Pastry

Having recently contributed to a project for Kellogg's US, I wanted to share a glimpse into food scanning technology - here's a 3D scan of a traditional German 'Nussschnecke' (nut roll pastry). A perfect blend of traditional baking and modern digitization - best enjoyed with your afternoon coffee! 🥐☕️
No structured light methode was used here:
photogrammetry + photometric stereo + PBR
Especially the roughness/gloss-map looks VERY interesting imo and is finally the key to the lifelike and photorealistic renders 😋
